Concept notes / 01
This is a concept,
not a company.
Range Field Co. is a fictional outdoor journal and a self-initiated web design and front-end study. It is not a real business, store, or publication.
No products are for sale. No bookings, memberships, or services are offered. Any resemblance to an existing outdoor company is coincidental: the name, history, people, routes, and field notes are invented for this concept.
What is real
The design, hand-written code, and vector illustrations are original to this project. The typefaces are open source. The Golden Run is a playable browser-game prototype, not a commercial product.
What this means for visitors
If you arrived looking for real gear, guided trips, or a brand to buy from, this is not that. If you're here for the design, the arcade is open and the field notes are meant to be enjoyed as fiction.
Forms, data & advertising
The newsletter form is a UI demonstration. It does not send or store the address you type. This site uses Google AdSense to support the project; Google and its partners may use cookies and collect data for advertising, subject to their policies and any applicable consent choices.
Why the label
Because fictional brands should not pretend to be real businesses. A clear disclosure protects visitors from confusion, keeps the project honest with search engines, and makes room for the part that is true: the craft.
Developer tools
The same local-first thinking also powers LocalBench, a separate collection of browser-based developer utilities. It is free, requires no account, and never uploads your files.
